ORTOPEDIA al J|medical

When sports activity or everyday tasks—even the simplest ones—become difficult due to joint and musculoskeletal problems (including post-traumatic conditions) that limit functionality, it is advisable to seek the care of an orthopedic specialist.

Does an orthopedic specialist only treat athletes? Absolutely not. Osteoarticular conditions affect professional athletes, amateur sportspeople, and the general population alike.

What course of action should be followed? Every course of action always begins with an outpatient consultation. At this stage, the orthopedic specialist defines the plan and the necessary steps to achieve the goals agreed upon with the patient.

SERVICES AT J|medical

  • Orthopedic consultation. During the visit, the orthopedic specialist performs clinical tests, reviews the patient’s medical history and, if necessary, prescribes specific diagnostic exams to identify and diagnose the current orthopedic condition (such as bone fractures, muscle injuries, tendinopathies, joint disorders, or spinal conditions). Early diagnosis and a targeted treatment plan can help improve function, relieve pain, and prevent potential long-term complications.
  • Joint and musculo-tendinous injections. These medical procedures are primarily aimed at reducing pain and inflammation and improving function, and they may be part of a conservative recovery approach. Injections help patients regain mobility, improve quality of life, and allow for a faster, less invasive recovery.
  • Hyaluronic acid injections. Among injection therapies, hyaluronic acid injections are also used. This procedure helps reduce pain and inflammation and provides a lubricating effect that improves joint mechanics. Hyaluronic acid injections are an integral part of a conservative approach to managing joint disorders, offering patients a non-invasive option to improve quality of life, particularly in cases of osteoarthritis.
  • PRP and mesenchymal cell injections. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections and mesenchymal cells derived from adipose tissue involve injecting a concentrated solution of growth factors into the affected area (usually a joint or damaged tissue). These growth factors can promote healing and regenerative processes, supporting the repair of damaged tissues such as muscles, tendons, or cartilage. These treatments are used to address orthopedic conditions such as tendinopathies, muscle injuries, and inflammatory or degenerative joint diseases. They represent a conservative approach to stimulate healing, reduce pain, and improve function, often avoiding more invasive surgical procedures.
  • Outpatient surgery in the operating room. At J|medical, surgical procedures and orthopedic interventions are also performed that do not require prolonged hospitalization. Patients are discharged on the same day as the procedure, allowing for rapid recovery and a quick return to normal activities.
