Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy provides the necessary support to maintain and restore functional capacities lost due to an injury, surgery, or following physiological aging processes. The goal is to reach the highest levels of quality of life, acting on the patient’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social well-being.
The expression “doing physiotherapy” is often used generically and includes many different therapeutic processes, such as manual massage, instrumental therapies, and active re-education, the doses and timing of administration of which must be decided and evaluated by the doctor (just like those of a drug).
J|medical is a center specialized in general, orthopedic, and sports rehabilitation. The physiotherapy department employs a multidisciplinary team of over 30 highly qualified physiotherapists and state-of-the-art equipment for all patients, athletes and non-athletes.
Based on the medical diagnosis and the individual rehabilitation project, the physiotherapist guides the patient along the therapeutic path. Active collaboration between professionals in a multidisciplinary team represents the prerequisite for therapeutic success. The rehabilitation staff deals with the treatment of the athlete and the patient who find themselves having to face acute or chronic problems affecting the locomotor system, in order to allow for complete recovery.
